My weight loss journey. Matt 15:11 It is not what goes into the mouth of a man/woman that makes him/her unclean and defiled, but what comes out of the mouth; this makes a man/woman unclean and defiles him/her. AMP

Not hungry
I didn't have the hungry horrors this afternoon!! YAY!! I made a big protein shake this morning and had about half of it for breakfast, a cup of chicken broth for lunch and the rest of the protein shake for a snack this afternoon. I will have more chicken broth on my way to church tonight. I would skip it if I could but I have to work in the nursery tonight.
I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. My oldest daughter, C1, woke me up at 4:30am to tell me that her car had been stolen. It took a while to get her to calm down. She was really mad. Her and her boyfriend were going out of town to see his dad and he had packed the car before he went to work last night. When he got home at 3:30 he discovered that the car was gone with all of their stuff in it.
Thankfully, C1 called the car dealer where she bought the car and found out that there is a GPS on the car (tote the note kind of place) so they were able to contact the police and find the car fairly quickly. This is so that if you default on the loan they can track the vehicle and come and get it. No damage, but everything not bolted down was gone.
I'll be back!!!

It's working...
So far so good! I weighed this morning and I am at 350.6, so after just one day I have lost about 6 lbs of what I had gained back. 3.4 more to go and that will put me back at 36 lbs lost and start me losing again.
It was kind of hard yesterday between 3:30 and 4:30 because I was wanting a snack and it was not chicken broth!!! I had a protein shake last night for dinner and that kept me pretty full all night.

This is my first day on the bypass diet. I got the idea from www.almostgastricbypass.blogspot.com He was been doing this on and off for quite some time now. The first time Allen followed the diet, he lost 100 lbs. Now don't get me wrong, he is exercising. as well. And since this diet is done by gastric bypass patients recovering from surgery, it sounds safe. Here is the website http://www.endowsec.com/pated/edtgs22.htm, here is one from the Mayo Clinic http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gastric-bypass-diet/WT00007. While I was searching for the after surgery diets, I found several sites that were running specials on weight loss surgery. OMG, on special??? Sure I want to go to some back alley surgeon running a "special"!!! There was a woman in the building that I used to work in that had hers done in Mississippi, she almost died!! She had a major stroke, thank God that is happened while she was still in the hospital, because that is the only reason she survived it!
It's 1pm and I am on my 2nd cup of chicken broth, yum! Not!, well not bad and kind of filling. At least no one in the office has come in with food that I would have to smell and start craving.
Back to work!

Damn...
I am so mad at myself!!! I weighed this morning and I have gone back up to 356.3!!! I ate way too much this weekend and my husband and I went out and ate chinese last night.
I started the gastric bypass surgery diet today, that way I can get some of this weight off quickly and it is supposed to flush your system so that you lose stored left overs!!! You know, that gross stuff that just stays in your colon forever.
I bought a colon cleanse kit a couple of months ago for about $40 and now I can't find it. My home is very messy and disorganized. And when my children pick up groceries, they never put things in any logical place. I have found medicines in the spice cabinet, toothpaste in the silverware drawer, eggs on top of the refrigerator... Now that I have more energy, I am trying to change that. I have clothes all over our bedroom and I have started washing and putting them away so that I can get our bedroom cleaned.
I hate this time change!!! The spring change is the worst for me. I find it so hard to go to bed and to get up in the morning. I have missed the gym for the last 2 days because I am too tired in the mornings now. That has got to change!!! I feel so much better when I work out in the morning before I go to work. I will need to go tonight after work so that I don't miss two days in a row.

In The Beginning...
This summer I weighed 383.2. This is the highest in my life. I have struggled with my weight since the summer after 3rd grade. I am now 45 years old. My children are almost all grown. My oldest daughter, C1, is 19, my son, C2 is 17 and my younger daughter, C3 is 14. The playing in the park days are over and I have, for the most part, missed them. I weighed about 250 when C1 was born. I have steadily lost and gained back to my current weight. I was on Phen/Fen when C3 was about 2 yrs old and that was the most energetic and the best I have ever felt. I wish it was still available.
Our Pastor usually asks the congregation to do a Daneil's Fast in January. This year, we did a modified version, he likes to mix it up some. The first year it was no meats or sweets, this year he added no bread. We have the freedom to modify it to our lifestyles. This year I decided to drink only water for the 21 days that the fast lasts. I used to drink at least 1 - 2 liter of diet coke a day. During the fast, I lost 16 lbs. Before the fast I lost about 20 but gained 10 back. I have lost a total of 36 lbs since my highest, I am now at 347.2. God changed me a lot during this fast. I don't look at food the same way, and I am now more important than that piece of cheesecake that I force fed myself after I had pigged out on whatever was for dinner.
Since the end of the fast, I have now joined a gym and try to work out at least 5 times a week with 3 days doing weight resistance as well as cardio. I feel so much better and have more energy than I have had in a long time.
I am doing this blog to help me keep track of my progress and to vent some when I am frustrated. Hopefully if I get a readership, they will be encouraged by my journey.
That bad thing that I do is eat alot on the weekends. Here lately I am spending all week losing what I gained over the weekend. And talk about emotional eating!!!! Just let my husband make me mad about something and off I go!!! This is something that I really need to get a handle on before I get discouraged and quit. I feel like this is my last chance.
